The Pilbara Development Commission provides local businesses in the Pilbara region of Western Australia with low-cost advisory and referral services to help them compete for State government supply opportunities. They use local business advisers who aim to connect local businesses to supply opportunities in the region.  

Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an active, independent, not-for-profit organisation committed to delivering high-quality services, events and initiatives that improve doing business in Port Hedland, South Hedland and Wedgefield.

With a powerful business network of more than 400 members, we are dedicated to ensuring small to medium-sized businesses remain important contributors to the local economy.

Trading Tracks is a free, confidential service delivery program designed to provide support for Pilbara Indigenous entrepreneurs across all stages of business.

Trading Tracks have a regular interface with the BHP Indigenous Procurement team, as well as other large contractors and industry, to create new networks and pathways for Traditional Owner and Pilbara Indigenous vendors.

Servicing our state

Business Foundations provides businesses in Western Australia with business advice, workshops and office space to help them build and develop sustainable businesses. They use business advisers who understand the challenges small and medium businesses face in Western Australia.

The business advisers have a range of business skills and experience across the private, public and academia sectors and aim to assist new and existing businesses through a range of low-cost services and advice. They have offices located in Fremantle, Balcatta and Crawley.

IMG offer personal, ongoing support to new and existing Aboriginal businesses with contract acquisition, strategy development, goal setting and tracking.

IMG also facilitate opportunities for Aboriginal businesses by assisting governments, corporations and NGOs who want to engage them by providing participation strategies and business management services to connect with the community. Their focus is creating Aboriginal businesses today that will support the communities of tomorrow.

CORE is Australia’s first innovation hub for the resources sector. They have established Australia’s largest national ecosystem for suppliers, researchers, entrepreneurs and industry to connect and collaborate on innovative solutions across mining, resources, energy, defence and space sectors.

The Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC) has a team of experienced business advisers who provide free information, advice and guidance to business intenders and those already operating a small business in Western Australia. The SBDC also provides commercial tenancy advice and support to resolve business disputes. The SBDC is Australia's oldest agency in providing support to small business.  

The core purpose of Business Station is to help small businesses thrive. They facilitate, encourage and promote economic development across WA, QLD and NT by enabling and supporting the establishment, growth and ultimate success of new and small businesses.  

The Waalitj Hub is here to assist the Indigenous business sector thrive. We provide support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people wanting to start, grow or sustain their businesses.

With their in-house business coaching – plus direct access to independent, professional support – they inspire and empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to build their business capability.

The Australian Tax Office is the principal revenue collection agency of the Australian Government.

Their role is to effectively manage and shape the tax and superannuation systems that support and fund services for Australians, including collecting revenue, administering the goods and services tax (GST) on behalf of the Australian states and territories.

SBMS Experienced Business Mentors are part of the Small Business Mentoring Service. SBMS is an incorporated not-for-profit association that started its journey in 1986 with just 14 members.  Today there are around 150 Mentors, both male and female, who have the skills and experience to help small businesses.

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) is Australia’s financial markets conduct regulator. ASIC is responsible for promoting a fair, transparent and efficient financial system for all.

ASIC regulates the conduct of Australian companies, financial markets, financial services organisations (including banks, life and general insurers and superannuation funds) and professionals who deal in and advise on investments, superannuation, insurance, deposit-taking and credit. ASIC is also responsible for authorisations to operate in industries it regulates.
